ByteDance's flagship image model, running here in full. Attach a photo and one plain instruction changes the thing you named and leaves the rest alone; leave the photo out and the same box generates from scratch. 1K or 2K, about 15-30 seconds, no watermark.
Every model in this editor is good at something specific. These are the jobs where Seedream is the one to pick.
The behaviour Seedream is built around: name one change and the rest of the frame survives it. Most models re-imagine the whole picture when you ask for a small edit.
Generation and editing share an endpoint. Attach a reference image to edit, omit it to generate — no switching tools and no second upload flow.
Pro renders 1K or 2K. There is no 4K tier on Pro; if you need one, generate at 2K and upscale the result.
ByteDance built the 5.0 line around photorealistic lighting and skin texture — the details that usually give a generated portrait away.
Seedream 5.0 renders text inside an image far more reliably than most models, including non-Latin scripts.
No queue. The wait is generation time, so a slow result means a demanding prompt rather than a backlog in front of you.
One endpoint does both jobs. Attach an image and your prompt becomes an edit instruction; leave it empty and the same prompt generates from scratch.
Say the one thing you want different — "change the season to winter with snow" beats a pile of comma-separated tags. Seedream is tuned to act on a sentence, not a keyword list.
Pro renders 1K or 2K. Results land in about 15-30 seconds and download at full resolution with no watermark.
For an edit, describe only what should differ: "make it golden hour", "put him in a navy suit", "remove the car on the left". Re-describing the whole scene invites the model to rebuild parts you were happy with.
Pro takes a single reference. A clear, well-exposed source with the subject unobstructed gives the model less to guess at — and what it does not have to guess, it does not have to invent.
2K is the default and the one to keep for anything going on a screen. Drop to 1K only when you are iterating fast and the resolution is not what you are judging.
Three flagships from three companies, all in the same editor. The row that decides it for most people is how many reference images the job needs.

Seedream 5.0 Pro is the flagship tier of ByteDance's fifth-generation image model, running here through the Volcano Ark official channel. It is a unified model: the same endpoint generates an image from a text prompt and edits an existing one from a plain-English instruction, so you are not switching tools between the two jobs.
Precise, targeted editing. Its distinguishing behaviour is that a single instruction changes the one thing you named and leaves the rest of the frame alone — the season, one garment, the lighting — rather than re-imagining the whole picture. It is also strong on photorealistic lighting and skin, and on rendering text inside an image, which most image models handle badly.
Seedream 5.0 Pro renders at 1K or 2K. It has no 4K tier — that exists on Seedream 5.0 Lite and Seedream 4.5, not on Pro. If you need 4K, generate at 2K here and run the result through the AI image upscaler.
Not on Pro. Seedream 5.0 Pro takes a single reference image. Multi-image fusion — combining several photos into one composition — is a Seedream 4.5 capability. For a multi-reference job on sparkpix today, NanoBanana Pro accepts several images at once.
They are different companies' flagships and they fail differently. Seedream 5.0 Pro is the sharper instrument for a targeted change to a photo you already have, and it renders 1K/2K from one reference image. NanoBanana Pro (Google Gemini 3 Pro Image) accepts multiple reference images, reads aspect ratio, and is the stronger choice for accurate in-image typography and for holding an identity across a complex scene. Both run in this editor, so switching costs nothing.
Usually 15-30 seconds. Seedream is a synchronous model upstream, which means the time is spent generating rather than sitting in a queue — a slow result is a complex prompt, not a backlog.
Each Seedream 5.0 Pro generation costs 10 credits. New accounts get 5 free credits on sign-up, and credit packs start at $9.99 for 350 credits — around 35 Seedream generations. There is no subscription.
Yes. Images you generate are yours to use commercially, at full resolution and without a watermark.
Google Gemini 3 Pro Image — multiple reference images, aspect-ratio control and the strongest in-image typography.
OpenAI’s image model — precise instruction-following and text-rich layouts.
Gemini 3.1 Flash — the fast, cheap tier for iterating through many variations.
Describe an edit in plain text and the AI regenerates only the parts that need to change.
Push a 2K Seedream result to 4K and beyond when you need print resolution.
